"Liars, Guns and Money, Part 1: A Not So Simple Plan"

I never doubted Zhaan. After three days of waiting at the coordinates she'd named, the crew believed her intuition was in error and that she had only imagined being contacted by Stark's spirit. But Zhaan insisted he would come, and I never doubted her. When the image of Stark's face appeared from his face mask and spoke to us, Zhaan's faith was vindicated.

We found Stark alive and in physical form aboard a small ship nearby. His return was a dual blessing; his miraculous resurrection after the Plokavians executed him by molecular dispersal was welcome to us all, but the news he bore was even greater — especially for Ka D'Argo.

Stark informed us that D'Argo's son, Jothee, was set to be sold at an auction in a lot of 10,000 slaves and came bearing a plan that would allow the crew to purchase the lot, Jothee included. If we were not all killed in the process, that is.

Stark's plan — to rob a Shadow Depository to raise the money to purchase the slaves — struck me as foolish and suicidal. At first the crew agreed with me, but one by one they all became convinced to enlist in this scheme.

D'Argo, fearing that the crew would not be brave enough to carry out the plan, took it upon himself to infiltrate the Shadow Depository alone...and was promptly captured. With one of their own to recover, the crew began to plot their own invasion of the bank.

The Delvian, pretending to be a client of the bank, requested a short-term deposit box in which she stored a crate containing a sedated Rygel. The Hynerian's mission upon waking inside the bowels of the Depository was to swap Zhaan's box for one containing a large amount of currency.

All seemed to go smoothly, until a new client arrived at the Depository...Scorpius.

Crichton and Aeryn, from one of the Depository's control rooms, watched as Scorpius changed the cooling rod in his brain. They realized that the cooling device must be what allows Scorpius to balance the conflicting temperature needs of his hybrid Scarran-Sebacean physiology. That revelation offered the Human what he's long sought: a weakness in Scorpius that he could use to his advantage.

Back aboard Moya, Crichton asked Zhaan to create a substance that would react to heat and produce an explosion, hoping to use the substance against Scorpius. Zhaan created a gel called Jelifan paste and promised the Human it would yield his desired result.

Armed with the Jelifan paste, Crichton returned to the Depository, where Rygel had fulfilled his role in this mad endeavor, swapping Zhaan's box for Scorpius'.

Unfortunately, when the bank's proprietor, Natira, mentioned that a Delvian woman had deposited the crates that were now keyed to Scorpius' code, he grew suspicious. When Natira informed him that this Delvian traveled with a Nebari, a Luxan and two Sebaceans, his suspicions seemed confirmed.

Crichton struggled to plant the Jelifan paste into Scorpius' cooling rod, but the Scorpius Neural Clone in the Human's brain fought to stop him. The Delvian, the Nebari and the Hynerian hurried to leave the Depository with their plundered currency, but time was growing short. Scorpius and Natira ordered the bank locked down and placed on full alert — and I feared that the Human and his secrets of wormhole technology had fallen irretrievably into Scorpius' hands....
