PEACEKEEPER PULSE RIFLE
Aeryn just walked by, carrying her precious pulse rifle. She takes it with her everywhere, strutting around like little Miss Rambo. She loves that gun it seems to be the Peacekeeper equivalent of a security blanket.
At this point, I haven't been able to learn much about the rifle itself. It's fueled by something called chakan oil. This oil is an explosive liquid that's synthesized from the Tannot roots found on the planet Sykar, and maybe other places. Leave it to the Peacekeepers to devise a way of turning tubers into TNT.
When I first saw Pulse Rifles in action, I figured they were firing raw energy, but now I know they convert chakan oil into charged plasma. On a low-power setting, a hit from a Pulse Rifle can short out your nervous system for a while and give you a headache that lasts for three days. A medium-strength pulse can turn things extra-crispy, extra-quick. A full-power blast can put a hole in damn near anything.
PK Pulse Rifles are even dangerous to the people holding them. I almost lost my right arm when one of these gizmos exploded before I could fire it. Seems that the rifle's chamber can overload and explode in a matter of seconds if it's not fired correctly (and promptly) after it's armed.
That's just too perfect. The Peacekeepers designed a gun that explodes if you don't fire it. The NRA would love these guys.
