PIVOTAL EPISODES: PRODUCERS' COMMENTARIES The Hidden Memory · Keep In Mind ... from Rockne S. O'Bannon, series creator Stark was a character that [co-executive producer] Justin Monjo had created for just this particular pair of episodes, "Nerve" and "The Hidden Memory." I've always admired the notion of creating supporting characters who are as richly drawn as the lead characters in the series. I always keep that thought in my hip pocket. And so the character Stark was really only intended to be in those two episodes. A kind of one-two punch. But Stark's an incredible, interesting, bizarre character. We really felt that we had only scraped the surface with him. And the actor we got was just terrific, and we didn't want to let him go. And so, we decided as we were launching into season two that Stark was someone we definitely wanted to have back. Stark also got very good fan response, and we pay a lot of attention to that. People seem to like him a lot and want to know more about him.
