The Farscape Intro sparks
at the beginning of each episode. It's only a 45 (seasons 1-2) to 60
(seasons 3-4) second musical introduction with a few Lyrics from John
Crichton describing a brief undergoing of what has happened, what is
happening and what will happen to him through out his journeys in this
grand space chase of adventures. Some fans including myself believe that
the intros foreshadow events that might happen.
Below are the lyrics as best as a few of us are able to hear them. The video clips for these intros as well as the mp3 versions are in our multimedia section if you want to see or hear it. |
Season 1-2 Intro
Words in italics are (faint/whispers of) transmission echoes. There are many different sounding versions of this intro which include more echoing. This intro actually tells the audience what has happened to Crichton and what is going on in the first and second seasons (getting chased by insane military commanders). |
My name is
John Crichton, An Astronaut. |
Season 3 Intro
Words in italics are thought to be those of the other Crichton. (Crichton gets split into two near the beginning of this season but one remains at the end.) This intro describes the situation Crichton or the Crichtons are in. It shows that he isn't sure if it's a good idea for him to find a wormhole to go back to Earth because Earth and his alien friends aren't ready. |
My
name is John Crichton, 'I'm
lost' |
Season 4 Intro
Words in italics are (faint/whispers of) transmission echoes. These echoes probably aren't really necessary to mention since they can barely be heard and I probably don't have them all here. This intro again describes Crichton's situation and the enemies that he has encountered. This one also tells the audience that he infact is going to go back to Earth (Episodes Kansas & Terra Firma) to try and warn them of the dangers ahead and possibly share any knowledge he has gathered. |
My
name is John Crichton 'John
Crichton', an Astronaut 'Astronaut'. |
