Unfortunately, the Tavleks weren't peaceful traders at all, but battle-scarred, renegade soldiers whose real business was seizing hostages for ransom. They came aboard in attack mode, firing energy bolts from their Gauntlets -- powerful weapons that locked onto their forearms and pumped in aggression-heightening drugs. Despite our best efforts, the Tavleks kidnapped Rygel, not knowing that his claims of being "wealthy royalty" had been highly exaggerated.

Naturally we were unable to pay Rygel's ransom, but we needed that crystal back... so Crichton, Aeryn, and D'Argo went down to the Tavleks' planet to attempt to locate and free Rygel. To help even the odds, they took a captured Gauntlet with them... but when they attempted to use it, they discovered that its drugs made them reckless, hyper- aggressive, and more dangerous to each other than to the Tavleks...
